TLB Mallorca are continuously developing their offerings, and today introduced the Van Gogh Artista range alongside new models made on it, all truly fantastic stuff here.
TLB Mallorca stands out as an impressive brand that’s making waves in a classic shoe industry that dates back hundreds of years. As is likely evident by now, my opinion here may be biased as I am employed by Skolyx which sells TLB Mallorca and have known Toni Llobera of TLB for several years.
However, one can heed advice from many outside sources who offer impartial opinions, TLB Mallorca along with Edward Green were recently chosen by readers of Permanent Style as runners-up to Crockett & Jones as one of the best shoe brands for menswear. So the top three consisted of two brands that had been around for over a century, and TLB Mallorca was only four years old at that point, something which speaks volumes. TLB Mallorca also appeared as a top candidate when StyleForum users cast votes to determine who offers the best value shoes worldwide.
TLB Mallorca today unveiled the Van Gogh last, one typically found only at more expensive shoes, to their Artista range, read here about its development. The Van Gogh last offers the same acclaimed fit as other TLB lasts, but with an innovative toe shape. Similar to soft chiseled Picasso last in terms of squareness but featuring a more “aggressive” shape due to chiseling along its top, making this last slightly different than others available today. Gaziano & Girling’s TG73 last is somewhat similar, yet has softer overall square toe shape when seen from above and I know many will enjoy its design. A series of brand new models has also been introduced on this last including an Adelaide with peak facing pattern, an Oxford with floating medallion and U-tip balmoral styles among many more.
