Over the years I’ve tried many shoe cleaners. Some were more or less useless while most proved effective but gentle compared to the Tarrago WASC Sneakers Super Cleaner (it works on more than just sneaker soles) The Tarrago WASC Sneakers Super Cleaner’s ability to clean all types of leather, suede and textile makes it my go-to cleaner.
As most readers may know by now, my everyday job involves working for Skolyx webshop and Tarrago’s sneaker care range. In my job at Skolyx as a retailer of Tarrago’s shoes care range, I make it a point to test each new product we sell so that I can provide accurate product descriptions, give proper advice to customers, etc. When testing out Tarrago WASC Sneakers Super Cleaner I took an old pair of my children’s shoes in terrible shape for use as Tarrago had spoken very highly about it and since this product rarely passes my once-over test protocol.
At first I was thoroughly amazed. Even the white soles of very dirty children’s shoes looked almost new; instead of throwing them away as planned, I gave them some Saphir Renovateur spray instead and saved them for my youngest. Since then I’ve used WASC cleaner on various shoes from vintage Freudenberg calf skin bespoke shoes to natural veg tanned workwear boots with white wedge soles; every material has come out looking fantastic; it never felt harsh either compared to Saphir Medaille d’Or Leather Cleanser is more gentle on smooth leather while Omninettoyant is more gentle on suede but none can match WASC when it comes to cleaning ability and efficiency.
I have heard from cobblers who have tested WASC cleaner that they were equally impressed, even those with much more experience than myself in shoe care. They particularly love its ease of use; all it takes to use it is one swipe with a moist brush and product creating lather to wipe it all away with damp cloth afterward. Additionally, its eco-friendly ingredients and gas-free bottle make for a pleasant experience if given a chance. However, since I work for the retailer selling the product this may bias my perspective; test it yourself and decide for yourself what your experience will be.
