Skolyx, the Swedish online store, is unveiling two innovative brands, its Private Label line with shoes priced below €200 and Spanish mid-range brand TLB in Spain that will debut to the world at London Super Trunk Show next week.
Skolyx has long been known for selling shoe care products and shoes from Spanish brand Yanko, while providing exceptional customer service. Now comes an exciting milestone in Skolyx’s development, two new shoe brands will be introduced simultaneously at launch time. One of Yanko’s original owners, Toni Llobera has taken steps towards building his own shoe factory on Mallorca where his TLB brand will soon emerge.
TLB stands apart from Yanko with finer leather (such as using reversed calf suede instead of split suede as is standard in lower price ranges, Annonay Vegano Calf leather is most often seen), more intricate stitch patterns, more finished finishes and narrow waists. Price for each model: SEK €349. Skolyx will place particular emphasis on models designed specifically for them, featuring models with inverted decorative stitching and other unique details.
Patina through Magic Mike Patina will also be offered, along with very flexible MTO capabilities (around €100). Regarding fit, TLB shoes differ only in their toe shape lasts and offer F (standard width), G and even H width options. I found their footwear excellent value for money that can compete with brands like Carmina and Crockett & Jones benchgrade shoes.
As previously announced, these two brands will be showcased at the London Super Trunk Show this coming Saturday for the first time. There will be numerous models from both brands on display with fitting shoes available in many sizes and widths from both brands, Skolyx will begin stocking its own brand mid/late April while TLB end April/beginning of May.
